One of the hardest parts of having emotionally immature parents is how it affects your sibling relationships.
Emotionally immature parents thrive on sibling conflict and usually take part in creating it. Leading to relationships that have been shattered as a result of the parental roles placed upon them. Each sibling takes on a role, the scapegoat, the golden child, the mess-up, some may even be completely neglected, each sibling has a different story, a different perspective.
Similar to relationships with emotionally immature parents’ sibling relationships can be just as complicated, isolating and challenging.
Some siblings take on the parental personality and traits, causing them to relive and get stuck in the cycle you so desperately are trying to get out of. Some, bond through the chaos and dysfunction but are still unwilling to talk about anything- preferring to not rock the boat.
This course aims to help manage your emotions related to sibling relationships. There are tips on maintaining relationships with siblings who have unresolved issues. Finding common ground, rebuilding relationships after fallouts and maintaining relationships with siblings who are close to low contact parents.
