What is Virtual Support?

Know What’s Coming & How to Prepare

Facing the end-of-life process—whether for yourself or a loved one—can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating. You may find yourself unsure of what to ask, what to do, or what happens next. Whether you're navigating a new diagnosis, facing hospice decisions, or struggling with advance planning, my virtual support sessions are designed to help you understand what’s ahead and how to prepare.

Offered by phone or Zoom, these one-on-one consultations provide clear, compassionate guidance to help you gain clarity, make informed decisions, and feel emotionally grounded as you navigate what lies ahead.

You choose the format—Zoom or phone—and the level of support you need. Whether it’s a one-time clarity call or a multi-session guidance series, each consultation is personalized and grounded in compassion.

What Is Virtual Support?

Virtual support is a remote, one-on-one consultation service provided via phone or Zoom. It is designed to guide individuals, families, and caregivers through the end-of-life journey with practical planning, emotional support, and educational insight.

What Virtual Support Includes:

  • Next-step planning: We’ll walk through where you are now and what to expect next—practically and emotionally.

  • Education on care options: Learn the differences between hospice, comfort care, and palliative care—and how to advocate effectively within those systems.

  • Advance planning assistance: Guidance on living wills, healthcare proxies, and education around other legal documentation (within my scope).

  • Understanding the dying process: Gentle, honest education on what to expect physically, emotionally, and spiritually—so you can feel prepared and present.

  • Grief and emotional processing: A safe space to talk through anticipatory grief, fear, or complicated emotions.

  • Funeral education: Guidance on understanding funeral options and how to begin planning when the time feels right.

You’ll Leave With:

  • A clearer understanding of your current situation
  • A personalized next-step plan
  • Printable resources or summaries (upon request)
  • Confidence in what to ask, expect, and decide

Who is this for?

Who Is Best Suited for Virtual Support?

  • Families in the midst of their crisis

  • Families presented with comfort care, palliative care, or hospice options

  • Individuals feeling overwhelmed, confused, or unsure of their next steps

  • Anyone seeking education, clarity, and emotional support—but not physical in-home care

Where to begin

Step 1 – Schedule a Clarity Call

A Clarity Call is a brief, $50 consultation designed to identify your immediate needs and help determine your next best step.

Example: “My mother just entered hospice—what do I do next?”

During this 30-45-minute call, I can:

  • Provide quick, accessible education on terms like Hospice, Comfort Care, and Palliative Care
  • Assess the urgency and complexity of your situation
  • Help you understand what types of support are available
  • Prioritize concerns and establish a starting point

You’ll leave with:

  • A clearer understanding of your situation
  • Basic education on relevant care terms
  • Insight into what I offer and how I can support you
  • A recommended next step or service pathway

Step 2 -  Purchase Guided Support Sessions

4-Session Package: Clear Expectations of What’s Coming & How to Prepare:

This is my core offering—a 4-session virtual support series designed to bring structure, clarity, and compassion to an often overwhelming time.

We begin with a Clarity Call to identify immediate concerns and establish priorities. From there, we continue with three personalized guidance sessions, tailored to your unique needs—whether focused on education, planning, grief support, or navigating care decisions.

After the fourth session, you’re welcome to book additional sessions individually, as needed.

What’s Included: Clarity in crisis:

Over the course of four virtual sessions (via Zoom or phone), we’ll cover:

  • Step-by-step guidance: We'll assess where things stand and explore the emotional and practical steps likely to come next.
  • Clarifying care pathways: Understand how hospice, comfort care, and palliative care differ—and how to navigate these systems with confidence.
  • Planning and paperwork support: Receive direction on legal and advance care documents, including living wills, healthcare agents, and necessary forms.
  • Insight into the dying process: Compassionate education on the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes that may unfold—so you feel more prepared and less alone.
  • Support for grief and overwhelm: A safe, grounded space to process anticipatory grief, emotional uncertainty, and complex feelings.
  • End-of-life logistics: Get guidance on funeral planning, body disposition options, and how to begin making those decisions with clarity and care.

You’ll Receive:

  • Links to recommended forms, including advance directives, living wills, and health care proxy templates
  • Planning paperwork and checklists to help you stay organized and prepared
  • Educational handouts and simplified explanations of complex care terms (like palliative care, Hospice, and Comfort Care)
  • Custom next-step guidance based on your current situation and goals
  • Referrals to local and virtual resources—including hospice liaisons, funeral homes, or estate planning professionals (where appropriate)
  • Clarity on medical and care options—so you know what questions to ask and what decisions to consider
  • Ongoing email support between sessions for follow-up questions, task support or emotional check-ins
  • Conversation scripts or prompts to help you talk to family members, medical teams, or reluctant loved ones

How this Differs from Full Doula Support

Virtual support:

  • Is remote only (phone, Zoom, email)
  • Offers standalone or short-term guidance
  • Focuses on education, emotional processing, and advance planning
  • Does not include in-home presence, legacy rituals, bedside care, or deep family engagement

In contrast, full doula support includes:

  • In-person presence during decline or active death
  • Legacy and ritual planning
  • Extended family support, vigil coordination, and holistic spiritual companionship

However, virtual support can transition into in-home doula services if deeper, ongoing support is needed and you’re located in Arizona.

If you're local to Arizona and feel you need deeper, ongoing help, virtual support can easily transition into full in-person services. A virtual relationship can be the starting point—building trust, clarity, and readiness for physical doula presence, bedside planning, or ceremonial support when the time comes.
